Tips for the kid of a health nut (no offense to my mother)

Being the kid of a health nut can have its downsides. All you can hear from them is “No you can’t eat that. It's GMO,” or “Yeah, go ahead and eat that and GET SICK. So... NO you can't eat that.” Yes, sometimes you wish you could just be like everyone else because you HATE being the one turning down pizza and having people look at you weird. But I, personally, like being weird.

Now I don’t know if you are the same way, but when I hear the proof behind something and I understand that proof, I believe it. Yes, eating healthy means being the odd ball and giving up on all this awesome food. Yes, it means BEING WEIRD. But I, personally, am willing to give up my social status for a healthier body beause I am most likely gonna out-live everyone else.

Eating healthy consists of those green thingamabobs that you stuff under your napkin at dinner (yes, I am talking to YOU). But there are some rockin’ awesome recipes that I LOVE out there.

Just to sum this up, eating healthy is EASY and FUN. And it never gets old. After you start, you might not see imediate results outside-wise but you will feel better. I used to eat a ton of junk as a little kid. But trust me, after giving up that stuff 8 years ago, I am NEVER going back. No matter that it tasted good. If I can give up junk, then you can too. Its EASY!

Stay healthy!!

You know it’s true that healthy food is fun and very good. It’s also hard as an adult when everyone’s eating pizza and cookies and you decline. You are doing great.
