We have been so busy these last few months working on our new site and making plans for the future of EasyVeggies.com. The kids were home for summer break so I also had to be a Mommy, which is my favorite job. I had been working so much at my computer that exercising fell by the wayside, unfortunately, and I put on eight pounds! So I decided to go back on the raw diet. I lost seven pounds the first three days. It's amazing -- here is what I ate each day:
Breakfast: Sliced almonds, peaches and bananas in almond milk (not raw, but it's a start)
Lunch: 2 apples with peanut butter (again, not raw, but I'm on a budget here, people!), palm hearts, and a green smoothie
Snack: nuts and raisins
Dinner: Salad, raw crackers with homemade cheezy sauce (made from walnuts and sun-dried tomatoes, leeks and spices) and olives, fruit for dessert
And I wasn't hungry, amazingly. I did find some incredible raw cookies and tarts made by Hail Merry. I got some raw cookbooks from the library so I think it's time to break out the old dehydrator!
My husband and I watched the movie Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead and that motivated me to try more whole foods and fewer processed foods.
I'll be posting more of my progress in the weeks to come; for now, I'd love to hear from you, now that I have comments enabled! :)
