I am a Feld Family Activator, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment has provided me with complimentary tickets to Feld shows and opportunities to attend private Feld pre-Show events. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.
I had the privilege of attending this show when it was in Colorado Springs this past summer and I am just blown away with how they always seem to outdo themselves! The acts were spot-on and the even the clowns (not my personal favorite) were entertaining! My favorite was the two strong men who were just lifting each other like they were feathers. We sat right inside the arena which was a good thing because my daughter had to use the bathroom no fewer than six times. She was so excited to see the elephants and then oop there she has to go to the bathroom again so we missed most of them.
I realize that many vegans take issue with the circus and you may be finding it odd that I am such a huge fan. Ringling has done a great job in protecting wildlife (http://www.elephantcenter.com/) and at the pre-show events that I have had the opportunity to attend, the animals are well-fed and well taken care of. The animals also seem proud of their performance -- similar to how dogs enjoy a good "attaboy" after they catch a Frisbee. So I really don't have a problem with animals in entertainment.
With that said, this year's circus is based around the concept of electricity! And there is no "shortage" (pun intended) of fun! There's a Human Fuse, even! That just took my breath away literally -- if your kids love watching daredevilry on TV, they will be amazed at how much cooler it looks in person!
I will be announcing contest information for a four-pack of tickets in the weeks ahead -- stay tuned!
