The dangers of soda

You might have seen the article earlier this month published on -- there are ten diseases that have been linked to drinking soda:

  1. Obesity
  2. Liver Damage
  3. Tooth Decay
  4. Kidney stones and chronic kidney disease
  5. Diabetes
  6. Heartburn and acid reflux
  7. Osteoporosis
  8. High Blood Pressure
  9. Heart disease
  10. Impaired digestion

Not to mention that sugary sodas contain unnecessary calories and make you crave more sugar and more calories.  Sugar shuts down your immune system for hours after it is consumed.  And the “sugar-free” sodas have their own dangers, such as stimulating your appetite for carbohydrates which leads to fat storage and weight gain.  Not to mention the other ill side effects that have been reported from artificial sweeteners, even Splenda, which falsely claims to have been created from sugar.
